About Manovikas Vyasanmukti Kendra
At Manovikas Vyasanmukti Kendra, we believe that recovery is not just about quitting an addiction — it’s about reclaiming your life, restoring your relationships, and rediscovering your purpose.
Founded and led by Gopi Banoda, a recovered addict himself who has been clean and sober for 32 years, our center is built on lived experience, empathy, and proven methods. With over 25,000 lives transformed, we specialize in de-addiction treatment for alcohol, drugs, medicines, mobile and porn addiction, and mental health issues.
Operating for over 23 years, Manovikas provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment for individuals seeking freedom from addiction. We offer both residential and outpatient programs, along with personal counseling, psychiatric support, and continuous follow-up care.

About Manovikas Vyasanmukti Kendra
Founded in 2003 by Mr. Gopi Banoda, Manovikas De-Addiction & Training Center was born out of deep personal experience, empathy, and a powerful desire to change lives.
Mr. Gopi Banoda himself battled addiction to alcohol and drugs. During his own recovery journey, he was admitted to multiple rehabilitation centers. While undergoing treatment, he experienced firsthand the emotional and psychological challenges addicts face — not only from the addiction itself but also from the limitations in the treatment processes.
These challenges sparked a vision.
While still in recovery, Mr. Banoda realized that the existing system lacked the human touch — empathy, understanding, and a personalized approach. He decided to build something better. For 10 years after his recovery, he dedicated himself to learning and serving — working as a counselor and therapist at various de-addiction centers, gaining experience and refining his philosophy of recovery.
A Home Away from Home
With his mission now clear, he established Manovikas De-Addiction & Training Center — not as just another rehab, but as a place of hope, healing, and transformation.
In its early days, Manovikas operated as an open rehabilitation center — a unique concept where recovering individuals were allowed short evening walks, helping them feel less confined and more connected to the outside world. It wasn’t a prison — it was a safe, structured environment, a home away from home.
Patients were encouraged to participate in group therapy sessions, led by Mr. Gopi Banoda and trained counselors. These sessions focused not on blame or shame, but on understanding the root cause of addiction — recognizing it not as a “bad habit,” but as a hereditary and psychological disease that could be overcome with the right support.
Our Philosophy: Empathy. Care. Self-Help.
At Manovikas, recovery is driven by empathy, care, and self-help. We believe every person deserves a second chance — and that addiction can be treated in an environment of trust, love, and structure.
This personal and professional journey continues to guide every aspect of Manovikas Center today — offering thousands of individuals across Maharashtra a chance at a brighter, healthier future.
